ACBC Food Shelf: Homebound Meals

  • Anoka County Brotherhood Council Food Shelf 2615 9th Avenue North Anoka, MN 55303 United States (map)

ACBC Food Shelf is needing help with packing boxes of items homebound clients chose through their “Outreach Deliver Program” to get ready for delivery. It is approximately 20 boxes. Ideal for about 3-5 volunteers.

ACBC is asking us for monthly help (generally the 2nd Thursday of each month) from our group. You do not need to commit to go monthly, but you can sign up for every month you want to help. Please be sure to sign up for each month you plan to attend.

About the Outreach Delivery program:
The Outreach Delivery program serves homebound individuals in the community who are unable to go into the community to access groceries. Participants of the Outreach Delivery program are able to shop via a menu each month and volunteers pack up their grocery order and deliver it to their home. Currently, ACBC Food Shelf serves 103 individuals per month by delivering them fresh and nutritious foods to their door.

Physical requirements may include: standing, lifting, walking, and bending
