Together We Rise: Build-A-Bike for Foster Kids (Member only event)

WoMN Strong is partnering with Together We Rise in a team-building event for our members. Through the Build-A-Bike Program we will build 15 bikes for foster children in the Twin Cities area! All made possible by our generous supporters.

Together We Rise (TWR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the way kids experience foster care in America. The foster care system can be a confusing and sometimes disheartening place for children.

Through TWR’s fundraising and network of passionate volunteers, they strive to give foster children a brighter future, a sense of normalcy and belonging. They create engagement opportunities for the public to give back through our programs such as Sweet Cases, Build-A-Bike, Build-A-Board and our Birthday Boxes. Their Family Fellowship and Aging Out program also provide resources to older youth who are leaving the foster care system. TWR strives to be the helping hand that foster youth need so that they may go confidently onto their futures.

Special shout out to Crossfit Osiris for letting us use their gym for our event!

WoMN Strong Runs/Walks: Darkest Night Of Your Life 4K

IMG_1754.jpg

On any given night, there are more than 6,000 homeless youth in the state of Minnesota, and many are right here in the north metro suburbs. When the darkness of night sets in, there are youth in our community who are staying in shelters, couch-hopping, or sleeping on the streets.

WoMN Strong registered a team to experience and raise awareness of many of the same things that these youth experience- darkness, cold and quiet- by participating in The Darkest Night of Your Life 4K benefiting HOPE 4 Youth.

Please join us in experiencing many of the same things that homeless young people feel when they have no where to sleep at night, except the streets. Our team is running (or walking) the 9:20PM WAVE.

If you can’t make it, please consider donating to our team!

You can sign-up or donate at: HOPE4YouthMN.org/4K
